Matthias Franz is a professional executive who has dedicated his eventful 35-year career to the field of radiation, leaving a mark in both clinical and industrial sectors. With a summa cum laude degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur in Health Physics / Medical Physics, Matthias's journey began with a strong educational foundation that would serve as the springboard for his career.
Matthias embarked on his career in the clinical area, working directly with the transformative power of radiation. However, his drive and passion for technological innovation led him to swiftly transition to the industrial sector. Over the years, he became an expert and passionate executive in the field, contributing his expertise to several organizations.
Within three decades, Matthias held leadership and executive positions in organizations such as Fuji Film X-Ray, Mirion Technology Inc., Elekta AB and IBA Dosimetry, living and working in Germany, USA, France and Switzerland. In his latest achievement, Matthias served as the President and General Manager of Accuray International (EIMEA) from 2012 to 2023. His leadership extended to global and regional roles, as well as corporate functions, reflecting his adaptability and strategic acumen.
